A’dam Lookout

The A’dam Lookout is located across the river from the main station. The best way to get to the other side of the river is by ferry. This leaves just behind the main station. Once you are on the other side of the river, turn left to a tall building – this is where we want to go.

In the building complex you can buy a ticket directly. In an elevator with great light effects you go up to the roof of the building. From here you not only have a great view. This place also offers all kinds of things to stay there longer: several seating areas such as cushions, several swings and free audio tour about Amsterdam’s history and culture.

Pride Amsterdam

When I was in Amsterdam, there was a big pride festival on the weekend. For this purpose, a large stage was built at the Dam Square and other locations around the city in Amsterdam. Several artists performed at the Dam Square. It was one colorful party.

The day after, the whole city would turn into one big party. In a big parade, the people on the boats dressed up go through the canals. 80 themed and decorated boats with DJ’s, singers, drag queens, dancers and beautiful boys and girls.

Unfortunately, I was no longer in the city for this parade, but can still recommend to have experienced this once.
